New Dormant Accounts Fund Call for Applications

Pobal, on behalf of the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, the Department of Justice and Equality and the Department of Social Protection invite applications for funding from eligible organisations under the following Dormant Accounts Fund (DAF) Measures.

  • Measure 2: Life After Caring
  • Measure 4: Pre-Activation Support for Female Refugees.

Details about the measures, the online application process, and how to register to attend a pre-application support meeting are available at www.pobal.ie.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 3pm on Wednesday 26 July 2017.

About the Dormant Accounts Fund

The Dormant Accounts Fund is a scheme for the disbursement of unclaimed funds from accounts in credit institutions in Ireland. The fund is administered under the 2001 Dormant Accounts Act, together with the Unclaimed Life Assurance Policies Act 2003 and the Dormant Accounts (Amendment) Act 2012 and is under the statutory function of the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs from July 2016.

Preparation Meetings

A pre-application information meeting for Measure 2: Life after caring will take place in Dublin on Thursday 29 June at 10.30am.   
 
Two pre-application information meetings for Measure 4: Pre-activation supports for female refugees will take place on Wednesday 28 June at 10.30am in Limerick and Thursday 29 June at 2pm in Dublin.  
 
The meetings will involve a presentation and questions and answers session relating to the relevant Measure.
