Call for Presentations - All-Island Social Security Network Conference, 20 June

The All-Island Social Security Network will be hosting its first conference on social security on the island of Ireland at Maynooth University on the 20 June 2024.

Who Can Submit

Reflecting the aims of AISSN, the conference is open to all areas that research and work on social security policy and related issues within academic, NGO, civil society, and policy making spaces. 

This includes but is not limited to areas such as social policy, sociology, law, economics, politics, political science, social justice, labour market studies and criminology. 

Contributions from policy experts and practitioners involved in any aspect of social security including policy development, advocacy, advice, service delivery etc are most welcome and encouraged.

Themes Covered

Presentations are invited within four broad areas of social security:

• Social Security Rights
• Poverty
• Disability
• Work, Activation and Welfare.

Papers can be about social security issues in either jurisdiction or have a comparative focus. 

Presentations may also discuss works in progress.

How to Submit

Please send a 200-word summary outlining your presentation to allislandssn@gmail.com by 26 April.  Please include your name(s), affiliation(s) and contact information with your abstract.
