The session will focus on the ideas from “Time to Think – listening to ignite the human mind” by Nancy Kline 1999 and reprinted every year between 2001 and up to and including 2016.

We invite anyone in a leadership and management position from a member organisation of The Wheel to be our guest at this Leadership Community of Interest breakfast on Tuesday, 7 November 2017 from 9.15am - 11.00am (light breakfast & networking from 9.15am; input from 9.30am).

Session Focus

In this highly interactive session participants will:

learn how to create a “Thinking Environment”;
discuss the ideas with peer colleagues in an open and enjoyable way;
practice your ability to listen
create mini “Thinking Partnerships”
consider issues of application in your organisations.

Attendees will leave full of ideas about how to improve their interactions with others!

The session promises to be interactive, you will have the opportunity to learn something about yourself, think about your Team or colleagues, and also discuss with and learn from your peers.

You can look forward to a combination of reflection, peer discussion and some short and enjoyable exercises.

Slides will be available to the participants after the session.

You can look forward to networking opportunities galore at this event, where you will be rubbing shoulders with other leaders and key players from across the community and voluntary sector.

Facilitator: Catherine Vaughan

Catherine Vaughan is a creative and strategic Organisational Development Consultant. She has over 15 years experience working with leaders and organisations to help them become more effective in their work.

Catherine’s early career was in Financial Services; she then became a Partner/Consultant with Sheppard Moscow, a leading international Organisational Development Consultancy. She now works independently and with a network of experienced international consultants.Catherine has a B.A. in Psychology from University College Dublin and continuously engages in personal development programmes related to her work.
