Employers have an obligation to promote dignity in the workplace for all employees. As part of that obligation, employers must be alert to the possibility of bullying behaviour and must also be familiar with the policies and procedures for dealing with allegations of bullying and harrassment.
 
In the same vein, employees have both rights and responsibilities under the law in relation to dignity at work. Employees have a duty to their colleagues not to bully them and to report any case of bullying and harrassment in any form.
