Rethink Ireland Launches New Resilient Cork Fund
Resilient Cork Fund is a €570,000+ fund that runs for 8 months and focuses on tackling inequalities, fostering mental resilience, and promoting social inclusion in Cork City and County.
The Fund is created in partnership with several philanthropic donors in the Cork region including: the Luan Fund, Tomar Trust, The Ireland Funds, The Montenotte Hotel, a private donor, and the Department of Rural and Community Development via the Dormant Accounts Fund. It will run over 8 months between January and August 2025.
Up to 6 awardees will receive a package of supports, including:
- A cash grant of up to a maximum of €65,000
- A place on Rethink Ireland’s Capacity Building Programme
- One to one mentoring support tailored the specific needs of each project.
Rethink Ireland invites applications from projects focused on:
- Tackling inequality, poverty and/or social exclusion, addressing the root causes of these issues.
- Empowering disadvantaged communities and working to achieve social impact primarily in inequality, poverty and/or social exclusion.
- Working directly with marginalised communities or other minority groups to overcome social and economic barriers to their integration in Irish society.
- Improving mental resilience and wellbeing of marginalised communities and/ or minority groups.
