Mental Health Month - Mental Health Ireland
October is Mental Health Month and this year’s theme is “Prioritising Mental Health in the Workplace”, so how will you engage with employees and show how you prioritise mental health at work? Mental Health Ireland is here to help!
Throughout October, Mental Health Ireland is running the “Connect for Mental Health” campaign; we are providing many free and easy to use resources at work to support and engage employees. Below are links to free resources and flyers to send to your employees and visit our microsite to learn more. https://bit.ly/MentalHealthMonth24
First, we are very excited to offer a free and accessible live webinar with our expert trainers every day of the month, including weekends and bank holidays, to enable employees to sign up at the best time for them. This is completely free to everyone and we welcome donations to support our work and keep the trainings accessible to everyone during the month. We have several suggestions to directly engage your employees and support Mental Health Ireland:
- First, we are asking companies to connect with employees and organise fundraising activities at work. To set up a fundraiser click here: set up a fundraiser. Anyone who registers a fundraiser gets a T-shirt, if you are organising a larger fundraiser, please contact us to discuss how we can support you with materials to make the event a success.
- Another way to get involved is to encourage employees to simply text ‘MHI’ to 50300 to donate €4 and support our work.
- Finally, consider organising a ‘Connect Café’, a coffee morning with a structure discussion, to fundraise and start a conversation around mental health, find an easy set up guide here. Download the Connect Café toolkit.
