A Greener Tomorrow in Ballyphehane
Ballyphehane Community Centre has embarked on an ambitious sustainable energy project. The project aims to reduce our carbon footprint and adapt to using renewable energy sources.
For instance, solar panels have been integrated into our improved sports hall roof. This will create a surplus of green energy in the Community Centre for years to come.
Work has already commenced on upgrading the sports hall roof. Engineers have been happy with the progress, and we are hoping to hold our grand re-opening in the end of July. Our community centre is excited to welcome back the regulars into their improved facilities.
The project has garnered attention and support from local authorities and environmental groups, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing climate change in Cork City and County. The success of the project will be a great example of what can be achieved through community-led initiatives.
If you would like to support our sustainable energy project, you can donate to our Go Fund Me Campaign at the link below. Each sponsor will be acknowledged with their names on our Community Centre's wall.
