Cybersecurity, Charities, and Nonprofits (Webinar)

Navigating cybersecurity, data protection and being told of the multitude of threats out there is often difficult to comprehend.

Taking place at the start of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, this webinar explains what is important and why.

This session will cut through the jargon and scare stories breaking down the key elements of cybersecurity and cyber hygiene as well as providing an overview of the GCA Cybersecurity Toolkit for Mission-Based Organisations, which contains free tools and resources alongside clear, actionable guidance to significantly reduce cyber risk for charities and nonprofits alike.

This is a free event but registration is essential.

Meet Your Facilitators:

Gill Thomas joined the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) in June 2018 and has spent a number of years scaling cyber hygiene initiatives and capacity building across multiple countries with particular focus on micro, small businesses and vulnerable communities. Her early career was spent within the telecommunications industry. She took time out with her young family and on her return found the drive towards digitalisation, whilst positive, was also highlighting serious data and online security failings on a global scale – exponentially increasing cyber-crime and the digital divide. She joined GCA and their mission to address systemic cyber risk to enable a secure and trustworthy Internet for all.
