Irish Girl Guides is currently inviting applications for the position of Recruiter for our Volunteer Recruitment Campaign  

About Irish Girl Guides (IGG):

The Irish Girl Guides (IGG) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls and young women to develop their full potential as responsible citizens. We achieve this through a network of over 400+ units (Youth Clubs) across Ireland, led by volunteer leaders who deliver non-formal educational programs. IGG is committed to upholding all relevant legislation and codes of good practice.

The Volunteer Recruitment Campaign:

IGG is launching a volunteer recruitment campaign to build sustainable pathways for Guiding for girls and women by increasing the number of volunteer leaders. This role will run from April 2025 to December 2025.

Volunteer Recruiter Role:

As a Volunteer Recruiter, you will play a vital role in engaging and recruiting passionate individuals who can contribute to the success of our Guiding programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with the campaign coordinator and recruitment team to deliver the projects/ Campaigns KPIs.

Outreach: Implement creative outreach strategies to reach and recruit potential volunteers. This includes content for online platforms and leveraging social media.

Working with National office and regional teams: 

  • Event Coordination: Assist in organising, facilitating and coordinating volunteer recruitment events and workshops.
  • Supporting Volunteers Onboarding: Welcoming new volunteers and provide them with necessary information to ensure a smooth transition into the next steps of onboarding. 
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with potential volunteers, providing update addressing concerns, and fostering positive relationships.
  • Data Tracking: Assist in monitoring the number of applications, volunteers recruited, and overall campaign progress.
  • Data Analysis: Assist in analysing recruitment data to identify successful methods and areas for improvement.
  • Campaign Evaluation: Assist to track and evaluate the effectiveness of the recruitment campaign and volunteer efforts.

Essential Skills:

Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, clear presentation, and effective communication with diverse audiences.

Relationship Building: Ability to build rapport with potential volunteers and foster a positive and welcoming environment.

Organisation: Strong time management, prioritisation, scheduling, and task management skills.

Adaptability: Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.

Passion for Guiding: A genuine enthusiasm for the mission and values of the Irish Girl Guides.

Desirable Skills:

Marketing, Sales and Social Media: Experience in creating marketing materials and managing social media campaigns.

Event Planning: Experience in organizing and coordinating events.

Qualifications:

A qualification in a related field such as Marketing, Communications, Community Development, or equivalent.

Experience working with volunteer recruitment or a related field of volunteerism, community development, or youthwork.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to travel to volunteer fairs and showcase opportunities, working hours may be during weekends and evenings.

A full, clean driver's license.

Working Schedule:

18 hours per week (including travel), worked flexibly to suit the needs of the recruitment team and leadership meetings. Two positions available. Hourly Rate €17.00 per hour

Remote working and direct office working included to suit the needs of the program's development.
