Social Media Community Standards
The Wheel’s social media channels are public spaces where we engage with our community of members, share information relevant to our work and network with organisations and individuals who share our passion for community and voluntary work and social enterprise.
The Wheel does not agree with or endorse every comment that individuals post on our social media channels. Our goal is to share ideas and information with as many people as possible. Sharing content may at times lead to lively discussion and debate, which we welcome.
However, to ensure that conversations remain respectful and constructive, there are a few guidelines we would ask you to follow.
When posting, we ask you to refrain from the following:
- Hate speech
- Profanity, obscenity or vulgarity
- Defamation to a person or people
- Name-calling and/or personal attacks
- Shouting i.e. everything written IN CAPS
- False, misleading or deceptive statements
- Content that is completely off-topic or repetitive
- Links to unrelated personal blogs or websites
- Content whose main purpose is to sell a product
- Spam material, such as the same commenter commenting or asking questions repeatedly on a profile.
These guidelines may be revised and updated at our discretion.
Commenters who engage in the above may be muted or even blocked from our channels. We also reserve the right to remove content from our channels. We want to ensure that our community remains a safe, constructive and informative environment for engagement and we thank you for your understanding and cooperation on this matter.
You can find links to our social media platforms below. We hope you enjoy the content we post there and that you enjoy engaging with us.
