ADAPT Kerry
Our service was established by a group of parents in Tralee, who in the early 1990’s were supporting their own adult daughters through the issue of Domestic Violence and were concerned about the impact of this trauma and the absence of a dedicated domestic violence service in the County.

What is your goal?
Vision: A society where women and children live free from domestic violence and coercive control and are free to participate fully in society, make decisions for their own lives, and access supportive and accountable systems that value them.
Mission: To protect, value, and support women and their children who experience domestic violence. To provide professional, high quality, client-centred, and holistic “immediate safety and long-term care to women and children who experience domestic violence”, based on an informed understanding of the dynamics of domestic violence and violence against women.
Objectives: To keep women and their children at the centre of our work. To provide high-quality wrap-around responses and services for survivors of domestic violence that are client-focused, need-led, and based on best practice and inter-agency collaboration.
