Do you have any success stories to share?
Little Blue Heroes Foundation was delighted to launch 'Sarah’s Christmas Gift' for 2020 that went out to 135 families of Little Blue Heroes at Christmas worth €67,500 of aid in Sarah's memory (Little Blue Hero who had passed away with cancer). The launch at Garda Headquarters was led by Sarah’s parents David & Majella, Garda Commissioner Harris and Little Blue Heroes volunteers. Also present for the launch was aid sponsors BBB Technologies, Consultant Industrial & Forensic Chemist (who donated €5000) and the Flatley Foundation (from the Irish Boston community who donated $60,000).
The charity is very proud that one of its heroes was and will always be Sarah Robinson, an exceptional young lady from Gorey, Wexford. Sarah passed away peacefully in 2019, following a battle with childhood cancer. Sarah despite her illness was always thinking of others, particularly of those younger than her. Before Sarah’s passing her kindness and generosity showed no bounds as she nominated any donations that may come from her own funeral to be given in aid of Little Blue Heroes to help families who have children with serious illnesses. This is one of the most inspiring acts of kindness we have witnessed which is why we matched her gift of €500 to our Little Blue Heroes families. Sarah’s Christmas Gift includes shopping vouchers for food, vouchers for toys and fuel vouchers ‘Yule Fuel’ for their cars to fuel the journeys to hospital appointments over the festive season.
