The Well Spring of Life Refuge

We are a faith-based charity that aims to provide a safe, peaceful, loving place of refuge to women and women with children who have been emotionally, physically or sexually abused in the privacy of their own homes. The refuge is open to all women and women with children regardless of their beliefs, it is open to all faiths and none. We will partner with suitable agencies to further their restoration and growth.

What is your goal? 

We are a faith-based charity that aims to provide a safe, peaceful, loving place of refuge to women and women with children who have been emotionally, physically or sexually abused in the privacy of their own homes. The refuge is open to all women and women with children regardless of their beliefs, it is open to all faiths and none. We will partner with suitable agencies to further their restoration and growth. 

How have you been working towards it? 

We are working with two volunteer teams to raise awareness and to fundraise with a view to opening our doors in 2021. 

How has being a member of The Wheel helped? 

We are able to access information and advise and encouragement through engagement with the team. 

How can people support you? 

Through online engagement and donating small amounts of money and encouraging others to do the same. We are currently working on our 1M people donating €1. 

Do you have any success stories to share? 

As the refuge itself is not open, we brought the refuge into the community by helping two families, in two months to get away from their abusive partners and relocate to a safer place.
