Additional DPOs under the Regulation of Lobbying Act

Do you or your policy or advocacy teams engage with State officials to progress your priorities? You need to know about the new Regulation that was recently passed under the Regulation of Lobbying Act.

From 1 January 2025, new categories of Designated Public Officials (DPOs) will now fall under the Act. If you engage with any of these bodies to pursue your policy agenda, you may need to include them in your lobbying returns. SIPO (the Standards in Public Office Commission) has helpfully circulated a list of 62 additional public bodies and officials who will be deemed DPOs.
