Finding the Future in Conflict - Free Zoom Webinar, 21 Oct
Free Webinar Thursday 21 October 7pm – 8.30pm
Conflict – something caused by other people when they disagree with us!
Conflict – something we all suffer from but rarely if ever cause ourselves!
Conflict – something we sometimes don’t even need other people to cause as we are perfectly capable of causing it in ourselves without any external help whatsoever! AKA self-sabotage. Been there, done that, never got the medal I deserved for it which caused even more internal conflict! 😊
Rare if not non-existent is the life that doesn’t face conflict at some or many points along the journey of life from birth to death and all stations in between.
Therefore, conflict is part of life and rather than having moralities, dogmas and opinions about it we need to understand it and its causes and its processes better and develop effective and more successful strategies for dealing with it as and when it occurs.
For when it does happen, we often look backwards to the past and try to understand and rationalise what happened and why and who is in the right or wrong and who is to blame for it. And how the perpetrator should be punished for causing this terrible and unwanted state of affairs to ensure that they don’t do it again.
But punishment isn’t a true remedy if we are seeking to restore, heal and build sustainable relationships going forward.
So where does the remedy for conflict truly lie – the past and how we got here or the future and how we get there instead?
In this free Zoom Webinar, the latest is this series on Sustainable Relationships, we shall be looking at some simple and yet powerful approaches and strategies for understanding conflict, how and where to place it in the bigger picture of things and most importantly how to use it as a tool for growth and change and towards building sustainable ongoing relationships going forward and facing the future with the future and not the past.
If change can be made, then anything and everything is possible where conflict is concerned.
If we can understand how we got into conflict then surely together with compassion, understanding, forgiveness and focusing on a better future for all we can also find a way to get out of it.
