Represent NSAI at the IEC Young Professionals Programme in San Francisco

The National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) are seeking a nominee to represent Ireland at the Electrotechnical Commission Young Professionals Programme (IEC YPP).

This year the event will take place in San Francisco from 31 October to 4 November 2022.

The competition for selection is now open and the closing date is 3 July 2022.

To apply for consideration you must

  • have some experience in using standards in your current or previous role
  • be aged early 20s to mid-30s
  • work for a business, industry, association, education body or government body that is using, benefitting from or contributing to the IEC's (International Electrotechnical Commission) work.

The application requires:

  • A copy of your CV
  • A completed application form
  • A headshot which you would be happy to submit to the IEC YPP if successful
  • A maximum 600-word essay that addresses "Outline a Standard you use in your current/previous role.  If you could, what would be the main changes you would make and why?”
  • A short interview may form part of the selection process.

The nominee will receive

  • Return flights from Dublin to San Francisco
  • Accommodation
  • Public transport and meal allowance.
