X MARKS THE CORE - A COLLABORATIVE YOUTH BASED ARTS RESIDENCY
CORE Youth Service and Common Ground are delighted to announce a new collaborative art and social media residency/project opportunity - X MARKS THE CORE - with an artist, young people and youth workers from CORE Youth Service based in Inchicore, Dublin 8.
Taking place throughout 2023 this collaborative social media / visual art residency will engage an artist (s) to work with groups of young people in forming, developing and communicating messages through a social media/visual arts process. The X MARKS THE CORE residency will have at its core the participation of young people, and their cultural voice in response to their experience of living in Inchicore where CORE Youth Service is located. It will create a supportive space for young people to creatively question and reflect on the changes to their neighbourhood and make art work and social media communications that speaks to their community, on what their community means to them and how they can be part of the future of where they live. Their messaging and art works will be shared publicly through social media channels and other media formats.
The deadline for proposals is Monday March 6th and all information on the residency and application process can be accessed at www.commonground.ie.
X MARKS THE CORE is a joint arts programme initiative of CORE Youth Service and Common Ground and funded by The Toy Show and the Community Foundation Ireland.
