Community Education: Your Path to Europe

EPALE (the Electronic Platform for Adult Learning in Europe) is a multilingual, open membership community of adult learning professionals. Serving as the hub for news, events and discussion on adult learning across Europe, EPALE invites community educators & trainers, researchers, and policy makers to get involved and showcase their work.

EPALE is an initiative of Erasmus+, the EU’s funding programme for education, training, youth and sport. Erasmus+ provides a variety of opportunities for Irish civil society organisations and communities to collaborate with European partners to develop and innovate. One of the programme’s target audiences is community & voluntary organisations - their staff and service users alike.Erasmus+ also has a particular focus on the informal and nonformal education and learning that our sector provides every day in communities throughout Ireland.

For this event, the team from Léargas, the Irish national contact point for Erasmus+ and EPALE, will join us for a discussion on how community and voluntary organisations can benefit from both programmes.

Topics covered will include:

  • An overview of Erasmus+ funding
  • How to get the most out of your EPALE membership
  • Best practice case studies
  • Supports available
  • Q&A.

Whether you are brand new to EPALE and Erasmus+ or looking to scale up your existing activity, don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to network with your peers and learn from organisations just like yours!

This event is a joint collaboration between The Wheel’s Access Europe programme and Léargas, the National Agency for Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps in Ireland.

Access Europe is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
