Digital Transformation and the Sector
Building on the results of our Driving Digital Inclusion workshops, this event will focus on the emerging digital skills needs of the community & voluntary sector.
We will present the feedback from the digitalisation consultation undertaken at the aforementioned workshops and take a closer look at how to address the shared opportunities and challenges of digitally transforming our communities. Featuring a panel of guest speakers, the session will cover:
- Developing digital skills for the sector
- The role and potential of digital fundraising in the sector
- Do’s and don’ts of digitalisation: learnings from the sector
- Best practice case study
- Supports available.
Note: we will upload the recordings of the Driving Digital Inclusion workshops for attendees to view before this event to provide greater context.

Meet Your Speakers:
Emily Nelson joined The Wheel as EU Programmes Officer in January 2021 before becomign EU Programmes Manager in 2024. Her role involves supporting civil society sector organisations to build their capacity to secure EU funding through the Access Europe programme, researching EU funding opportunities that are relevant to the sector and The Wheel’s members, coordinating and delivering training and events related to EU funding, and assisting organisations in building relationships with potential EU project partners.
