Communications Member Network Launch

The Wheel is launching a new member network to connect, inform, and empower staff and volunteers in the field of Communications. Our goal is to cultivate a supportive community of members who believe in the power of communication to drive positive social change.

The network will promote best practice and create a space for members to share relevant advice, case studies, and knowledge. Whether you are a senior communications professional or early in your career and engaged in communications activities as part of your role, this network will help you enhance your skills, stay informed about the latest trends, and build valuable connections with your peers.

Join us at this inaugural meeting for an exclusive briefing and discussion on the latest polling from We Act and nfpResearch on public perceptions and attitudes towards nonprofit organisations in Ireland.

An expert from LinkedIn will also be presenting the latest advice on growing your organisations presence on the social network.

Join us to learn more about the network and contribute to its agenda.

Claire McGowran is The We Act project Manager, working closely with a pan-sectoral steering group on an exciting new campaign to improve public awareness of the value and impact of the charity and community sector in Ireland. She holds a degree in Journalism from DCU and wrote for various newspapers and magazines as a digital editor for 8 years. Claire's interest in campaigns was sparked by her involvement in the campaign to Repeal the Eighth Amendment in 2018. Living in London at the time, she volunteered with the London-Irish Abortion Rights Campaign as an organiser for Home To Vote. She's also worked with UNICEF on a campaign to end child marriage and contributed to the Emigrant Papers as part of the campaign to expand voting rights for Irish emigrants.
