We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join their collaborative and highly effective fundraising team. This is an exciting time of growth for the charity and this individual will play a pivotal role in helping them to realise their ambitious fundraising targets. This role will also support the Foundation to meet a core strategic objective of developing a new funding model to ensure sustainability and to support future growth.
Reporting to: Director of Development
Key Relationships: Director of Development; Director of Communications & Public Affairs; all fundraising; communications and nursing services staff.
Salary: €55,000 to €60,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent full-time contract (subject to successful completion of a 6-month probationary period).
Location: Moving to new serviced office location in Tallaght from January 2025
The Marie Keating Foundation currently operates a hybrid working model with a minimum 2 days in the office.
Brief overview and purpose of the role:
The role is ideal for a highly motivated person with at least 4 years’ experience managing Corporate Partnerships and/or Trust & Foundation and Grant applications. You will be responsible for the development of new corporate partnerships, identifying and securing new relationships to significantly increase income, voice and reach. Additionally, you will support the delivery of first-class account management and stewardship for their existing portfolio. You will work closely with colleagues across Communications and Fundraising, as well as with their service providers, nursing team and the CEO.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Develop and implement a corporate partnership, sponsorship, and grants strategy.
- Develop stewardship plans for all corporate partnerships, ensuring engagement and support from across the organisation to help implement and achieve objectives.
- Identify, research and develop new corporate, sponsorship, and grant opportunities to deliver new income streams.
- Develop and maintain a suite of up-to-date high-quality materials and cases for support to be used in proposals, applications, and presentations.
- Provide regular analysis on the market, identifying and recommending income generation opportunities for the charity.
- Contribute to the development of organisational strategy and play a lead role in contributing to the wider income generation and communication strategy to support this.
Operational
- Lead on the annual budgeting process for corporate partnerships, Trusts & Foundations, Grant applications and Sponsorships working closely with the Director of Development, Finance Manager and CEO.
- Proactively manage budgets, monitor and report on income generation including corporate pipeline, new business achieved, status of existing partnerships, and T&F and Grant Application opportunities to ensure income targets are delivered.
- Monitor and report on partner growth, retention, lifetime and annual value, and ROI.
- Liaise with Corporate CSR personnel and Charity teams to develop and support implementation of annual campaigns to engage staff and management continuously monitoring, supporting, and feeding back on progress.
- Develop and procure fundraising materials and merchandise to support Corporate Fundraising events and activities with Corporate Partners.
- Ensure all relevant data pertaining to corporate partners are recorded on MS Dynamics to support effective stewardship, data capture, data management, donation processing and segmentation of donors. Ensure that all activities are compliant with GDPR and data protection and privacy legislation.
- Support companies and partners by offering engagement opportunities for their staff and management that secure fundraising volunteers and participants where appropriate.
Communication/Liaison
- To work collaboratively with colleagues across the Foundation to identify the propositions and engagement opportunities most likely to be valuable and appeal to corporates.
- Work across the Foundation’s nursing services and communications team to maintain a clear, current understanding of the Foundation’s impact to inform partnerships and donor relationships.
- To create and oversee customer service and stewardship activities to ensure that corporate partners feel valued and understand the impact their support is having.
- To work closely with the finance team to ensure they are representing and managing financial information and legal agreements accurately and effectively.
General Responsibilities
- Work with the Director of Development to carry out other associated duties that may arise, e.g. with fundraising events or other related fundraising campaigns.

Person Specification:
Education
- Third Level Degree in Business, Marketing or similar discipline and/or suitable accredited fundraising qualification such as a Diploma in Fundraising.
Experience
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience managing Corporate Partnerships or Fundraising with a clear track record of achieving income targets and building relationships.
- Experience of developing a strategy for growing income through acquisition and delivery of new corporate partnerships.
- Clear evidence of business development including identifying need and development of proposals and pitches from initiation to launch.
- Management of strategic corporate partnerships, including both the acquisition of new partners and ongoing management and stewardship of existing relationships.
- Experience of negotiating partnership and commercial participator agreements.
- Experience of budget creation, financial management, evaluation and reporting
- An up-to-date knowledge of the fundraising sector and key trends and developments.
Skills
- Evidence of effective planning and organisational skills including project planning, costing, prioritisation and time management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Successful negotiating, presentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to develop strategies, operational plans and KPIs with key stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and manage relationships with senior Executives and CSR Management and senior internal stakeholders.
- Ability to represent the charity at external events or with external stakeholders.
- Ability to work well independently but also as part of a wider team.
- High level of EQ (emotional intelligence)
- Experience of working in the charity sector is desirable.
