Summary of the role:
The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in developing LauraLynn Ireland’s Children’s Hospice and ensuring that all parts of the organisation are supported and work efficiently towards our goals. Based in Dublin, this role requires a high level of attention to detail, independence and agility.
The Children’s Sunshine Home Trust (the ‘Trust’) was founded in 1925 and its primary objective was to provide care for sick children. In carrying out its function, the Trust raises funds to enable the continued operation of the services of CSH Childcare Services and The Children’s Sunshine Home.
LauraLynn have just embarked on a very ambitious fundraising strategy for the next 5 years. The Financial Accountant will support the delivery of that strategy through accurate and timely monthly reporting, analysis and forecasting. The successful candidate will have daily interaction with key stakeholders within a very interesting working environment. Essential Criteria - the successful candidate will possess the following:
- Possess a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial management position in a charity or not for profit
- Strong knowledge of SORP reporting
- Good working knowledge of computerised financial systems and reporting
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications including advanced competency in Excel
