Migrant Inclusion Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fulfil the role of Migrant Inclusion Support Worker. 

Summary:       We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to fulfil the role of Migrant Inclusion Support Worker. This position serves as an essential link between our Community Development Integration initiatives and our One Step Closer Training Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as the primary liaison between various Empower programmes, coordinating training activities, and facilitating the integration of International Protection applicants into employment, education, and wellbeing supports. This role presents an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to creating inclusive communities and facilitating access to training and support services for diverse client groups. It requires strong organisational and interpersonal skills along with a commitment to fostering inclusive and connected communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between Community Development Integration initiatives and One Step Closer Training , ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop strategic responses to community needs, implement social inclusion actions, and facilitate the engagement of target groups in SICAP supports.
  • Coordinate and facilitate community programmes, fostering connected, healthy, and socially-inclusive communities.
  • Address isolation among New Communities, ethnic minorities, and marginalised groups through civic participation and integration support.
  • Participate in community outreach activities to encourage and support individuals from target groups to access these supports.
  • Provide capacity building and development support to representatives of SICAP target groups to enhance their participation in decision-making structures.
  • Coordinate training sessions across various Empower programmes, addressing the diverse needs of client groups and aligning with community development goals.
  • Utilise and maintain client relationship management database (CRM) to track training schedules, participant details, and programme effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with International Protection Applicants, providing guidance and support to link them into employment, education, and wellbeing supports.
  • Work with internal teams to identify training gaps and develop innovative solutions to meet diverse client requirements effectively.
  • Ensure meticulous organisation of training materials, venues, and participant communication.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, understanding their unique needs, and facilitating access to relevant supports.
  • Support administrative and clerical duties related to the SICAP programme of Empower.

Project Management, Monitoring, and Reporting:

  • Manage project financial planning, expenditure, and reporting, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete regular reports for the SICAP performance and monitoring system.
  • Demonstrate strong ICT and administrative skills to support efficient project management and monitoring.
