2022-23 IHREC Grants Scheme Information Sessions 26 & 27 Apr
The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is accepting applications for its Human Rights and Equality Grant Scheme 2022-23. The themes of the Grants Scheme are informed by the priorities set out by the Commission in its Strategy Statement 2022-24.
The themes are:
- Advancing Greater Economic Equality
- Supporting Compliance with the Public Sector Equality and Human Rights Duty.
The Commission is running a number of information sessions, on the Zoom Platform, to provide details about the Grants Scheme to local community and national civil society organisations working to advance equality and human rights who are interested in applying.
Activities eligible for grant support include:
- Training and capacity building
- Research, legal and policy analysis
- Education and training resources
- Conferences, seminars, and workshops
- Creative and participatory engagement initiatives.
The Human Rights and Equality Grants Scheme is open to civil society organisations, including local and national community and voluntary organisations, non-governmental organisations, rights-holder-led groups, groups representing area based communities or communities of interest protected under the nine grounds of the Equality legislation, or who experience poverty or social exclusion, as well as trade unions.
NEW Strand for Local Groups!
The grants scheme will have a new strand this year targeting local groups working to advance human rights and equality.

Special Requirements
When registering please feel free to let us know if you have any special requirements, for example, accessibility, Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpretation. This will help us in our preparations for the event.
