Leaflets in Ukrainian on Gardening
Community Gardens Ireland has produced two short leaflets in Ukrainian, one is a general introduction to the existence of community gardens, the other is similar but allows room for gardens to insert their own name and address so they can print it out and circulate it to any local centres that are housing people recently arrived from Ukraine.
It is well known that gardening is good for your physical and mental wellbeing! Are you interested in volunteering at a community food growing project and meeting new people? There’s a network of community gardens around the island of Ireland – most are run by volunteers and welcome new members all the time.
Gardening is a common language that we all share and access to it might be therapeutic for those traumatised by war.
Let us know if you've been able to put the leaflets to good use, or if you end up making your own?!
