An Introduction to the New eTender Platform for Buyers
The new eTenders.gov.ie tendering platform is now live! Make sure you are ready for the changeover, know how to navigate this new eTendering system and continue to publish your tender competitions.
This is a 1.5-hour interactive virtual workshop, where participants will follow along and use their own Contracting Authority eTenders.gov.ie account to try out their new skills.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this training, participants will be confident in their ability to:
- Navigate the new eTenders platform as a Contracting Authority
- Create a new tender competition in offline mode (please note that the more complex features of the new platform such as online tendering and e-auctions are not covered in this short introductory workshop)
- Assign user roles to a tender competition
- Publish tender competition documents
- Send/receive clarifications to tender queries
- Receive tender submissions (please note that this will not be demonstrated live, but will be explained
with reference to the manual).
For best results from the webinar, participants should be registered users (either CAPC – Contracting Authority Procurement Coordinator, or CAPCA Contracting Authority Procurement Coordinator Assistant) on the new eTenders platform - please check/update your user type before the webinar.

Joanne Gillen is the founder of eTenders Consulting. Joanne has over 20 years’ experience in procurement and tendering, and holds the CIPS diploma from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, as well as a Certificate in Public Procurement from the Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management. She is also Ireland’s only Fellow of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals and a Fellow of the Learning and Development Institute.
