Education For Sustainability  is seeking an Environmental Educator in Galway/Mayo on a freelance, contract-for-services basis, to deliver our 8-week Climate Literacy course for primary & post-primary schools. 

If you have good experience working with young people aged 10-18 years and if you are passionate about sustainability and the environment, we want to hear from you. Applications are welcome from educators, youth workers etc., even if your knowledge of Environmental Education is not at expert level! 

These roles are hourly-paid, freelance contract-for-service roles. 

• Each school receives a 1 hour visit every week to explore a new module of the course. The Environmental Educators (EE) will be working with up to 8 schools per week. 
• In the course of the delivery, the EE will support and train the classroom teachers and support the students to create an action project as a culmination of the course. The EE will also liaise as required with schools/teachers/principals to maintain good communication and a positive relationship with the schools. 
• Occasional administrative tasks may arise in the context of the course delivery to which the EE may be required to attend.
