Answers to: General Manager

Hours: 18.5 hours per week exclusive of breaks

Annual Salary: €14,019 (€28,038 full-time equivalent).

The Baldoyle Community Hall is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic person to work as our Events Coordinator.  This role will grow our outdoor activities with workshops, markets and themed entertainment. 

This is an ideal role for someone newly qualified or returning to the work place who would like varied and interesting work in a happy and relaxed atmosphere, in the beautiful setting of the Baldoyle Estuary. The candidate will not be expected to be an expert in the area listed as training will be provided where needed. 

This role may require some evening, Saturday or Sunday working.

Requirements

Essential: Good with people, well organised with good attention to detail and good with deadlines, interested in running events, good English

Desired Experience in one or more of the following areas: Event management, Social Enterprise, Event Safety, Volunteer management

Responsibilities:

  • Organising and project manage events such as Workshops, Family Days or Weekend markets
  • Video production
  • Publicity including newsletter
  • Support the Communications Officer with content for 
    • Poster design
    • Promotion of events
    • Media liaison
    • Interviews/Radio
  • Surveys/Research (on events and attendees)
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteers and maintain Volunteer database
  • Feedback forms
  • Outcome and Impact measurement
  • Photographs
  • Online meetings
  • Work with accounts officer to manage finance of events
