We are recruiting a Finance Administration Executive to support the financial operations and gift administration at Trinity College Development & Alumni.

Trinity Development & Alumni (TDA), leads on fundraising and alumni engagement for Trinity College Dublin. We are recruiting a Finance Administration Executive to support the financial operations and gift administration of the organisation. If you are highly organised, have excellent numerical and analytical skills, a can-do attitude, and excel working in a busy environment, this role is for you.
As the Finance Administration Executive, you will work with colleagues in the finance team to support the operational expenditure of the organisation, including procurement, payroll, and account reconciliation. You will also work with colleagues in TDA and across the university to administer and acknowledge donations to the college.

Whilst an accounting qualification is desirable, our professional team will guide and support the right candidate as they develop their accounting skills and gain experience in gift administration. Candidates with experience in bookkeeping, account preparation or accounts payable, aligned with the skills detailed below, would be suitable for this role and encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities specified below are not intended to be exhaustive, and flexibility in the allocation of specific duties will be required. As the Finance Administration Executive, you will:
Support the finance team with operational expenditure including:
- Raising purchase requisitions for supplier expenditure,
- Daily upload of donor receipts to Oracle and reconciliation to bank account,
- Scanning credit card receipts, reconciling to statement, and preparing the monthly journal for upload to Oracle,
- Preparation of fortnightly payroll,
- Preparation of monthly manual journals as required,
- Assist with other month end reconciliations where required,
- Assisting with year-end audit and financial statement prep.
Liaise with the Financial Accountant and Fundraising teams to support gift input and acknowledgement process by:
- Preparing and issuing donor receipts,
- Preparing standard gift forms & agreements,
- Uploading tax relief forms to Raiser’s Edge (customer relations database),
- Running relevant data reports on Raiser’s Edge to support fundraising ad hoc requests,
- Communicating with college departments to confirm and report on the disbursement of donor’s funds,
- Providing cover where required for gift entry into Raisers Edge, and managing and responding to donor queries,
- Reviewing and vouching relevant documentation for grants awarded by ancillary college entities, as
Other Duties:
- Liaise with the Alumni Giving Team to ensure credit card and stripe donations are processed, cash & cheques are lodged, and all gifts received are updated to Oracle (finance system).
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the finance
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to deliver respective TDA
- Undertake other duties as may be assigned from time to time by your line
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with bookkeeping, account reconciliations or accounts preparation is
- Minimum two years’ experience with financial/accounting packages.
- An IATI or other accounting qualification is
- Experience of the Oracle Financial Information System while advantageous, is not
- Experience with customer relationship management databases is
- Strong computer skills – Excel and Microsoft Office Packages.
