Operation's Supervisor

We are seeking an organised, motivated, and detail-oriented multi-tasker to join our team. This individual will provide high-level support to the CEO. 

Job Title: Operations Supervisor, Men’s Aid Ireland
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Location: HQ office, Navan, Co. Meath (Note: This is not a hybrid working role).
Hours: 21 Hours a week (3 Day week, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9am – 5pm).
Commencing 30th September, three-month short-term contract until 31st December 2024, with the potential for a permanent role from January 2025 for a high performing candidate.

Summary
Men’s Aid Ireland is a national charity organisation empowering and supporting men, their children, and families who are experiencing domestic violence, to be safe.
We are seeking to immediately recruit an Operation’s Supervisor to join our team. The work will be underpinned by our core values of confidentiality, professionalism, respect, empathy, integrity, and accountability.
We are a frontline domestic violence support service, responding to extraordinary demand from victims and survivors of domestic, sexual, and gender-based violence across Ireland.
We are seeking an organised, motivated, and detail-oriented multi-tasker to join our team. This individual will provide high-level support to the Chief Executive Officer and manage the general administration of our HQ based in Navan, Co. Meath.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Support Chief Executive Officer office:

  • Serve as key liaison between Chief Executive Officer (CEO), our internal staff team and external partners, stakeholders, funders, and Government agencies. (Dept of Justice, Cuan, An Garda Siochana, Tusla, Courts Service, fellow DSGBV NGOs, etc.)
  • Provide high-level operational and administrative support to CEO as needed.
  • Manage internal communication in the organisation.
  • Manage social media communications. (X, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Manage digital with end-of-year updates on our website (www.mensaid.ie).
  • Provide CEO with appropriate preparation before Board and Sub Committee meetings including creating agendas, providing reminders about content and action items, and tracking follow-up items.
  • Record Minutes during meetings and distribute post-meeting. (internal & external).
  • Manage additional projects for the CEO as needed.
  • Policy: Conduct research and draft summaries for the CEO.
  • Maintain general office functions, (light level).
  • Assist with general projects for the CEO office and wider team and Board members.
  • Create, write staff newsletters, and external updates.
  • Work in collaboration with our graphic design and web agencies to deliver planned campaigns.
  • Provide fundraising support when required.

Knowledge and Skills

  • High standard of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Strong writing, proofreading, and well-developed communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A minimum of three years of senior-level administrative/project management experience.
