The Territory Manager for parkrun Ireland will play a pivotal role in leading the development and growth of parkrun.
CONTRACT: Full-time (37.5 hours), permanent.
SALARY: The salary scale for the role is €55,000 - €60,000 plus a car allowance of €2,300 per annum.
LOCATION: The parkrun office is located in Dublin 1. There is a hybrid working policy in place with the expectation that the postholder would be based in the office on average 3 days per week.
BACKGROUND
parkrun is a free, community-led event where participants of all abilities can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate. With a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, parkrun offers a 5km event every Saturday morning, and junior parkrun, a 2km event for 4-14-year-olds and their families, every Sunday morning. There are currently 150 events across the country that are continuously expanding. Launched in Ireland in 2012, their goal is to bring parkrun to every community that wants one with the support of passionate local teams to help make this vision a reality.
THE ROLE
The Territory Manager for parkrun Ireland will play a pivotal role in leading the development and growth of parkrun, focusing on diversifying participation and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, including ambassadors, event teams, and local communities. This unique position sits within the EMEA team, allowing you to balance the needs of parkrun Ireland with the overarching goals of a global charity committed to promoting physical activity.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of creating and nurturing partnerships with sponsors, government bodies, and community groups, all while supporting over 200 event directors nationwide. Your strategic vision will contribute to a significant goal: doubling participation over the next five years. By prioritising initiatives that enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion, you will help ensure that parkrun reaches those who need it most, fostering a culture of health and wellbeing throughout Ireland.
