Consultation on Ireland's 3rd National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is currently leading the development of Ireland’s Third National Action Plan on Women Peace and Security. The Agenda is based on UN Resolution 1325, and related resolutions, which recognise the affects that conflict has on women and girls. Among others, the aims of the plan are to strengthen women’s leadership and participation in decision-making in conflict and post-conflict situations and to ensure that a gender perspective is incorporated into Ireland’s engagement in post-conflict activities.
The Department is seeking submissions from all who have been affected by conflict, living on the island of Ireland by Friday 14 December 2018 to wpsconsultation@dfa.ie.
