Applications invited for Professional Diploma in Transversal Skills (Online)
University College Dublin and Technological University of Dublin are inviting applications for a new course purposely designed to help those adversely impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic to upskill and transition to a new career path.
The Professional Diploma in Transversal Skills is a Level 9 Qualification funded by the Higher Education Authority through the Government's July Stimulus Provision. This part-time course is free for eligible jobseekers and 90% subsidised for individuals in employment with a level 8 qualification or higher OR in the event that they do not have a level 8 qualification, that they have five or more years of relevant work experience.
Transversal skills are also known as ‘transferable skills’ and include innovation, creativity, entrepreneurial agility, analytical skills, business acumen, teamwork and communication skills. Delivered live-online, is grounded in real-world learning with participants working collaboratively to develop and practice a suite of innovation skills and toolkits that they can apply immediately during and after the course. There is a strong focus on employability and the course includes a module on this area entitled 'Design Your Life.'
The course starts on 23 November 2020 and runs part-time online until 12 March 2021.
