Invitation to Shared Island Week
Announcing a week-long series of online events showcasing the Government’s Shared Island initiative to date and looking ahead to the ambitious programme of work for the years ahead. The week will culminate in a landmark engagement with Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD, broadcast from Dublin Castle on Thursday, 9 December 2021.
The Shared Island Forum will mark the first year of the Irish Government’s Shared Island initiative, to deepen cooperation and connections on the island and to engage with all communities and traditions on a shared future, underpinned by the Good Friday Agreement.
The Forum will be opened by Taoiseach, Micheál Martin, TD who will deliver a keynote address and participate in a discussion on the Shared Island.
The Forum will also feature panel discussions with civil society leaders and researchers, on the Shared Island initiative to date and its future development.
This event will be livestreamed on 9 December 2021, from 2pm – 5pm, and can be watched on the following platforms:
