Calling All Talented and Emerging Leaders
The Young Academy of Ireland is a new all-island, interdisciplinary academy of early career researchers and innovators (ECRIs) that brings together individuals who will work collaboratively for the benefit of society.
Membership of the Young Academy of Ireland (YAI) is open to ECRIs who demonstrate a high level of excellence in their discipline, evidenced by a proven track record and expected future achievements. Applicants for membership must demonstrate a commitment to making a difference in society, collegiality, and leadership potential.
The YAI will pursue a broad range of programmes to promote multidisciplinary experiences, engage in policy debate, networking opportunities with other ECRIs and to foster international and interdisciplinary collaboration. Applicants should provide evidence of interest or experience in one or more of these areas.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for YAI membership an applicant must:
- Have been awarded a PhD in any discipline in the previous ten years (the eligibility period will be extended in case of maternity or paternity leave/ caring responsibilities)
- Be normally resident on the island of Ireland at the time of membership.
All completed application forms need to be submitted online by 5pm, Friday, 7 October 2022.
