Good Governance Awards 2022 Ceremony, 17 Nov
The Good Governance Awards Ceremony will announce the winners for 2022.
Date and time: Thu, 17 November 2022, 18:00 – 20:00 GMT
Location: Chartered Accountants Ireland, 47/49 Pearse Street D02 YN40 Dublin 2.
The Good Governance Awards recognises and encourages adherence to good governance by nonprofit organisations in Ireland. Public trust in the sector in recent years has been damaged by a number of high profile cases of bad governance and unacceptable and in certain cases, illegal activities. In these tough times, strong governance is more important than ever to enable nonprofit organisations to respond effectively and quickly to emerging risks and deliver their objectives. In this challenging context, the Carmichael Good Governance Awards aims to support and encourage nonprofit organisations in using their annual reports to manage, and communicate, their adherence to good governance more effectively and in doing so build greater trust.
This year, 120 nonprofit organisations entered their annual reports into the Good Governance Awards. The awards are divided into 7 categories based on the annual income of the organisation.
The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on November 17th.
The ceremony will begin with a reception from 6 until 6.30pm. The awards will then open with an address from Mr. Joe O'Brien T.D., Minister of State for Community Development and Charities. The ceremony will announce the winners in each category and will feature a keynote speech from Stephanie Manahan, CEO of Pieta House.
