Invitation to Launch of Ireland’s Loneliness Taskforce Research Network, 16 Apr
ALONE are thrilled to invite you to the launch of Ireland’s Loneliness Taskforce Research Network at the National College of Ireland in Dublin on 16 April 2024, from 10am – 1pm.
Recent EU research reported that Ireland had the highest prevalence of loneliness across Europe. Since 2018 the Loneliness Taskforce has campaigned to raise awareness of this problem in Ireland; and at the end of 2023 it established the Loneliness Taskforce Research Network. As a network, our goal is ensuring that recommendations for policy change are rooted in high-quality research that reflects the reality of those with lived experience.
The focus for this event will be to formally launch the Loneliness Taskforce Research Network and agree research priorities for loneliness in Ireland and ultimately inform recommendations for policy reform. For more information about the day, please see the attached agenda.
We ask that you register your attendance HERE by April 5 2024 and to please share amongst colleagues that you think might be interested in the day.
