LLM in International Law (Blended Learning Offering)
LLM INTERNATIONAL LAW (BLENDED LEARNING OFFERING) **New for 2023**
Programme Outline
The LLM in International Law (Blended Learning Offering) provides students with a flexible pathway towards gaining critical insights into the operation of international law. It offers a critique of international law frameworks and institutions and an analysis of how the international legal order works and how it seeks to protect vulnerable groups, including minorities and refugees.
Flexible Programme Delivery
Teaching is delivered mostly online in an asynchronous format. Online learning will be supported by a number of face-to-face workshops and masterclasses each semester (which will also be recorded). The programme is offered on a part-time basis over 2 years, providing maximum flexibility, and allowing students to combine the programme with full-time work.
Who Should Apply?
The programme will, in particular, be of use and interest to those already working in the field of law, including barristers, solicitors and civil servants who want to upskill in the area of international law and those with an NGO background who want to expand their knowledge of international law.
Applications are welcome from candidates with a minimum 2.2 honours degree in law or cognate disciplines, though applications from other candidates with prior experiential learning may be considered.
