Open Door Workshop Series on Experiences of those Working with People from Ethnic Minority, Migrant, and International Backgrounds, 3 Apr

The “Open-Door” project, which is funded by the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Office, is seeking to understand the experiences of those who work with people from ethnic minority, migrant, and international backgrounds and to explore ways of improving those connections through a series of workshops.

The first of these workshops was targeted at SETU staff members and the aim of it was to explore staff members’ hopes & expectations, fears & anxieties, barriers, challenges, and needs associated with connecting with this student cohort.

The second workshop was targeted at students and the aim of it was to explore students’ experiences, needs, and expectations of SETU.

The third workshop is targeted at migrant service providers and stakeholders in and around Waterford city and the aim of it is to identify and explore how to connect with /work with SETU. The facilitator for this workshop is Monica Rudy Kent.

To this end, you are invited to come along and share your experiences during a 1-hour workshop on Wednesday 5 April, Room G19 commencing at 11.15 am in the O’Connell Bianconi building (Nursing), South East Technological University, Waterford.

Refreshments will be served beforehand at 11 am.
