New Guidance On Winding Up a Charity
The Charities Regulator recently published a Guidance on Winding Up a Charity.
This guidance, as is usual with guidance documents from the Regulator, is aimed specifically at the volunteer trustees who govern charities in Ireland. The guide outlines the reasons that a charity may seek to wind up, which include where a charity is closing down its operations, where a charity may be changing legal form or where a charity may be merging with another charitable organisation with similar objectives.
