Nominations now open for the 2019 Charity Impact Awards
The Wheel is calling on all charities, community and voluntary groups and social enterprises to showcase their impact by entering the 2019 Charity Impact Awards.
Commenting on the launch of the 2019 Awards in Dublin, Deirdre Garvey, Chief Executive Officer of The Wheel said, “The inspiring stories we receive for the Charity Impact Awards never fail to remind me why we do what we do. There are charities, community and voluntary groups and social enterprises organisations carrying out vital work in every community, and I and would urge them to take the time to apply to give their organisations, and everyone involved the recognition they deserve,” said Ms Garvey.
Last year, 118 organisations were nominated for the Charity Impact Awards, and over 30,000 people showed their support by voting for their favourite impact stories.
Nominations for the Charity Impact Awards can now be submitted at www.charityimpactawards.ie in the following categories:
- Charity Impact (subcategories for small, medium-sized and large organisations)
- Trustee of the Year (for volunteer board members)
- Social Enterprise of the Year
Nominations close on 2 October at 5pm.
The public will have an opportunity to vote for their favourite impact stories between 29 October and 29 November. The winners will be announced at the Charity Impact Awards ceremony on 10 December at the Mansion House in Dublin.
