Free ESC Conference: Explore European Youth Volunteering
The Wheel in association with the European Solidarity Corps is delighted to invite you to a special half-day conference in Inchicore, Dublin 8 on Thursday 27 February 2020 from 9am - 2pm.
By the end of the day, workshop attendees will have:
- Explored the concept of solidarity and considered how it relates to your organisation’s work
- Learnt about the EU’s European Solidarity Corps initiative
- Heard from organisations how have hosted ESC volunteers and interns, and from the participants themselves
- Networked with volunteers, staff and nonprofits from Ireland’s community and voluntary sector.
Speakers from Ireland’s voluntary sector already confirmed include: Dil Wickremasinghe (Journalist), Kay McCabe (Involve), Stefania Marcia (Kingsriver Community Volunteering), Peter Hussey (Kildare Youth), Alison McCallion (CRC) and Aideen McLoughlin (Good Energies). Explore the concept of solidarity itself and learn more about how to involve passionate young people from all around Europe in your organisation.
