Irish Research Council New Foundations 2020 Funding Call
The Irish Research Council is pleased to announce that the 2020 New Foundations call will open on Tuesday, 15 September, 2020.
The Call includes the strand addressing research engagement with civic society on a national basis. The 2020 strand builds on a similar initiative run under the last New Foundations 2019 call.
The Engaging Civic Society strand will support small, discrete collaborative projects between academic researchers (the applicants to the Call) and an NGO or community/voluntary organisation. Awards for this strand are valued up to a maximum of €12,000. Successful awardees under this strand will develop a research idea or project, test a concept or theory, and/or develop partnerships or activities.
Charities that are interested in advertising their desire for partnering with a researcher under Strand 1a should email newfoundations@research.ie with the following information:
- Organisation Name
- Organisation Contact Person
- Contact Email
- Themes/subjects of desired research/targeted topics
The Call opens on 15 September 2020. The closing date for applications from eligible researchers will be 4pm on 20th October 2020.
