South County Dublin Community Grants Remain Open for Applications
Community Groups across the County are still being invited to apply for funding assistance within the South Dublin County Council’s annual Community Grants Programme.
The Community Grants Programme is aimed at providing financial assistance to Community and Voluntary Groups who are responding to locally identified needs within their communities.
The Mayor Cllr Ed O’Brien welcomed the launch of these grants earlier this month, saying that this year more than ever the grants will be of great assistance to local clubs and community organisations. With clubs closed for long periods this year the opportunity to gather funds through the normal sources has been removed and therefore the opportunity to avail of grant funding to help continue the wonderful community work all of these organisations do should not be overlooked.
A wide range of Community Development, Sports Development and Community Events funding are now being made available for groups to apply online.
The Community Grants Booklet and the Online Grants Application is available on the Council’s website.
Note: no funding application deadlines have been applied this year to the community grants, but groups are encouraged to submit their application as their earliest convenience and these will be assessed in turn as they are received by the Community Services Dept.
The Local Community Development team and the Sports Recreation Officers are also available to assist any local groups within any queries or advice required and further information on all aspects of the grants available can be obtained by contacting the Community Services Dept: Tel 01-4149270 or by email at: communitygrants@sdublincoco.ie.
