Two Extra Weeks to Apply for Your €500 Meet and Code Grant
The Meet and Code application deadline has been extended, giving you two extra weeks to submit your event proposal!
Deadline is now 22 September.
We know that September is hectic at the best of times, and even more so this year. So we've decided to extend our deadlines to allow you a little more time to finish your application.
If you have any questions, or need any support at all with your proposal, please give Sinead a call on 01 454 8727 or email ireland@meet-and-code.org.
We have a limited number of grants remaining, so we would encourage you to complete your application as soon as possible for the best chance of success. As always, you'll find full instructions on how to submit your event below.
What is Meet and Code?
The goal of Meet and Code is to introduce children and young people between the ages of 8 and 24 to the world of technology and coding. We do this by providing €500 event grants to charities.
We fund events designed to show young people how much fun coding can be and how it can help bring ideas to life. By exploring a broad range of technology and digital topics and creative coding, they will be encouraged to develop the digital skills they need in today's world.
In Ireland, Meet and Code is run in partnership with The Wheel, and it is made up of a network of partner organisations across Europe.
Apply for a €500 Event Grant
Event proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis between now and September. We have already allocated a significant proportion of the available grants in Ireland, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
Applying is very easy — just visit www.meet-and-code.org/ie/ie and follow these five steps:
- Register your organisation on the Meet and Code website. (If you completed this step in 2019, you won't need to repeat it.)
- Submit your planned event on the Meet and Code website.
- Wait for your application to be approved.
- A grant will be awarded to the successful submissions.
- Host your event.
Meet and Code funding is open to registered charities located in the Republic of Ireland. The planned events must take place during September and October 2020 and must be designed for at least 20 young people aged between 8 and 24.
Charitable organisations that carry out a funded event through Meet and Code are eligible to participate in the Meet and Code Awards. Find out more here.
Submissions are now open via the Meet and Code website.
