Facebook and PayPal Giving Fund Ireland (PPGF) Join forces to Support Fundraising
Facebook and PayPal Giving Fund Ireland (PPGF) have joined forces to help charities raise much-needed funds.
PPGF harnesses the power of technology to make giving a part of everyday life. Working with their partners, they make it easy for people to support the charities they care about on the websites and apps they use every day.
Facebook makes it easy for charities and supporters to create and share fundraisers that benefit the charity. Charities can sign up for Facebook Charitable Giving Tools and discover how best to support their fundraising efforts.
Tools include a donate button which is a quick way for people to give funds without leaving Facebook. They can add the donate button to the Facebook page and posts, making it easy for people to support their charity in just a few steps. The donate button can also be placed on Facebook live streams allowing charities to raise money for their causes in real-time.
To receive Facebook donations as well as others in one monthly payment from PayPal Giving Fund, charities must be enrolled with PPGF which is easy and free.
By enrolling, charities will receive their donations quickly and securely, track payments easily on their dashboard and receive donor data (where shared by donors to reach out and thank supporters).
Once enrolled with PPGF, visit the Facebook donations sign up page and you will need to select "Don't upload my banking information" on the first step of the application.
About PayPal Giving Fund
PayPal Giving Fund aims to inspire a new wave of philanthropy, harnessing the power of technology to make giving part of everyday life. They pursue this vision by developing innovative programs that introduce charitable giving in relevant and engaging ways to new audiences.
Through their partnerships, they make it easy for donors to support the charities they care about on the websites and apps they use every day. In doing so, they enable charities to forge relationships with new supporters, and benefit from new sources of unrestricted funds.
In all that they do, they strive to innovate – to provide more opportunities to give, engage more donors, improve the user experience, and raise more funds. They provide donation and donor reports, issue tax receipts, distribute grants, and handle registration requirements — all without charging charities for their services.
