Applications for International Decade for People of African Descent Funding Call Extended
The closing date for receipt of applications for the International Decade for People of African Descent Funding Call has been extended until 12pm on Thursday, 20 July.
The purpose of the International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD) Funding Call 2023 is for proposals to host local, regional and national events to mark and celebrate the Decade. A total of €150,000 is available to be awarded to successful applicants.
This funding, up to a maximum of €5,000 for each approved Event, will be available for suitable Events to mark the Decade and celebrate the culture of People of African Descent. The event should ensure that all of the following are achieved:
- Involve the active participation of members of the African community and/or People of African Descent at all stages of the Event (planning, implementation etc.).
- Celebrate and promote African culture.
- Promote a positive image of People of African Descent’s culture to the wider community.
- Members of the wider community must be included and invited to the event.
- The event must be accessible to an open public audience where possible.
This form must be submitted by 12 noon on 20 July 2023.
