The not-for-profit sector contributes significantly to Ireland’s social and economic prospects. Every year over two-thirds of adults, that’s more than two million people - participate in the social, sporting, cultural and humanitarian activities offered by 32,842 organisations in the non-for-profit-sector. The sector directly employs around 165,000 people and manages a combined annual income of €14.2BN.
The report will be published in partnership with The Wheel, the national association of charities, which represents over 2,400 not-for-profit organisations.
Drawing on the latest research, this report will look at:
- The Sector's Profile: Current analysis of the not-for-profit sector in Ireland and key trends.
- Human Resources: Key issues including recruitment and retention in the sector and changes in the workplace including the widespread adoption of blended and remote-working models.
