Supporting People in the International Protection Process (Fund Opens)
As part of St Stephen’s Green Trust’s (SSGT) strategic goal to contribute to a more humane asylum system in Ireland and it's decade-long commitment to supporting people in the international protection (IP) system, the Trust is making funding available in 2024 for organisations with a track-record of advocacy work in relation to migrant issues.
The landscape for people in international protection has changed rapidly in recent years and in order to capture and understand these changes, SSGT produced a Current Context Paper to shape and inform a new grant round under the programme for 2024.
This year’s funding will focus on supporting groups with a proven track record of advocacy work in relation to issues affecting people in IP so that they can make time and space for strategic thinking, with a view to addressing one or more of the issues outlined in our paper, through strategic advocacy.
Detailed criteria including links to the online application forms can be found here. The funding call opens on the 8 July and closes on the 12 August 2024
If you are part of group that is currently working to strategically improve the situation for people in the international protection system and have any queries about the programme or its application process, please contact the SSGT team at info@ssgt.ie.
