Rural Regeneration Development Funding - Fourth Call for Category 2 Applications
The Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, has announced today that the Fourth Call for Category 2 applications to the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund (RRDF) is now open.
The RRDF provides investment to support suitable projects in towns and villages with a population of less than 10,000, and outlying areas.
The Category 2 call will provide funding for project development and enabling initiatives to enable a proposal to reach Category 1 readiness.
The lead party to an application must be a State-funded body. A lead party is permitted to submit a maximum of two applications to this call for Category 2 applications.
Who Can Apply?
For the purposes of compliance with public spending code, the lead party to an application must be a State-funded body. State-funded bodies are local authorities, Local Development Companies and other State agencies, including Commercial State bodies. Community organisations, voluntary groups or other civil society bodies cannot act as the lead party to an application but can partner with a State-funded body, which is in a position to assume the lead party role.
The deadline for receipt of applications is 12pm on Friday, 14 March 2025.
The Application Form, and other relevant documentation, are available here: gov.ie/RRDF.
